# 71 - Law of Burgers

Burgers vary in calories from 170 for a White Castle Cheeseburger to 1410 for a New York Cheddar and bacon-burger at Friday's. Include French fries and you add 660 calories vs. 50 for broccoli.

Making adjustments saves calories. When eating at Five Guys I use to get the double but now I get the single for a savings of 300 calories. I skip the fries (600 calories) and try to limit my peanut consumption. I remove the top bun (80 calories ) and get cheese on it. I save on the meal 1000 calories.

So when eating a burger, ditch the fries, top bun, ketchup and the cheese. Do this when you’re behind your daily goal. If ahead then reward yourself.
