Use the idea of kosher to help you lose weight. Kosher is a term used for meals that mainly don’t use pork or shellfish and don’t combine milk with meat. On the package of many food items, you’ll see a U inside of an O. This means the product is kosher. Create a kosher and non-kosher food list. The kosher foods you eat when behind your daily weight loss goal and you eat both foods when you’re ahead of your daily goal. Some recommended “non-kosher” foods: • French fries • 2 slices of pizza (1 is okay) • Candy • Desserts except for fruits • White foods like bread, pasta, rice • Beverages that have calories • Chips, pretzels, and other bagged goodies |
