If you need to lose a lot of weight it can be overwhelming to think about losing all of the weight, so just focus on five to ten pounds at a time. I was late for my train and had to do a one hour walk in 50 minutes. So I started to run with a 20-pound knapsack on my back. I hadn’t run in a while so I was getting tired pretty quickly. I focused on running to the next tree which was only 30 feet in front of me. When I reached the tree I focused on reaching the next tree 30 feet in front. I kept my focus small and wound up running about a block which is 264 feet. By focusing on a shorter goal I was able to accomplish the bigger goal. Always focus on easier goals. |
