# 82 - Law of Building Muscle


Weightlifting is a way to speed up your metabolism and muscle requires more calories 6 per day and fat just 2 per day.

If you’re a woman you don’t have to worry about looking like a man. These women are taking drugs to get that way.

Note that your fat doesn’t turn into muscle they’re different. So building muscle might not get you to lose weight. Fat is reduced by using more calories than you consume. So if you’re lifting weights and eating too much you won’t necessarily lose any fat.

There are numerous exercises you can do without using weights. Just search the internet or YouTube for these and make a habit of doing them.

If you want to build mass then you will need weights but that’s not the point of this book. The danger to building muscle is injury and creating bad eating habits.

Some weightlifters can consume 6000 calories per day to build muscle. When they stop lifting it’s sometimes difficult for them to reduce these eating habits.
