# 61 - Law of Dessert and Appetizer Skipping

When going for lunch or dinner and behind your goal, skip the bread, the appetizer, unless you get a low-calorie salad and skip dessert.

Some appetizers are as much as 3000 calories by themselves.

If your friends or family want to go for desert then go with them, buy what you love and save it for when you are ahead of your daily goal.

If you can’t control yourself around the bread, bring your own protein bar and eat half of it for the appetizer and the other have for desert, remember to eat it slowly. Use the white lie technique if you’re confronted by someone at the restaurant.
