# 28 - Law of Being Overweight

“People fail to solve the problem when they fail to accept the problem” – Al Berg

If you are overweight then you’re doing something wrong.

I develop software for a living and there are often problems we call bugs. Find and fix the bugs is known as debugging. I’ve learned that the first reaction to a problem is to deny it. You’ll hear developers say, “it should work.” But the fact that there is a bug means it doesn’t work and a mistake has been made.

Being overweight is the same. The first mistake is not getting medical tests to see if there is a hormonal problem. The second mistake is not thinking you’re doing any wrong.

If you look at yourself in a mirror and don’t like what you see or calculate your BMI (Body Mass Index) and it says you’re overweight you are doing something wrong.

The mistake is in the formula of the calories you eat vs. the calories you use. You are eating more than you use. This is your mistake. Solve this problem and you will start to lose weight.

This book describes many of the mistakes you may be making and their solution. But it’s best if you solve the problem yourself.

What are you doing wrong? Change it and you’ll be on your way to a normal weight. Try to make small changes. Use this book as a guide.
