# 65 - Law of Eating Whatever You Want

In an ideal life or maybe in heaven you can eat whatever you want. This works if you’re a child but once you become an adult it’s not such a good idea.

On the other side of the spectrum is to never eat any unhealthy foods. This works for some people but most people could do this short term but not long term.

If you want to lose weight and keep it off eat whatever you want only if you’re ahead of your daily goal. So when you’re behind your daily goal you eat smart. But if you’re ahead of your daily goal you get to eat whatever you want as a reward. Be aware that you can gain weight. I’ve gained four pounds in one day doing this but the weight will come off if you eat less and exercise more when behind your daily goal.

One other thing to do is if you get the urge to eat something you shouldn’t when behind your daily goal, buy and save it for when you are ahead. It will be your reward.

There is a popular diet called the 5:2 diet where you eat whatever you want for five days and fast (eat very low calorie) for two days. This might work short term but I doubt that most people will have the willpower to follow it for any long time period.

Now just because I don’t think it will work doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try it.
